PSYCHOTHERAPY : WHO IS IT FOR AND WHY ?
Life is punctuated by experiences that shape us—some joyful, others very challenging. Events such as bereavement, trauma, illness, accidents, expatriation, or personal and professional struggles can become overwhelming, making it difficult to move forward. These difficulties may trigger emotional distress, leading to confusion, helplessness, anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, or diminished self-confidence.
Starting psychotherapy is not always easy and takes courage. It means recognising the need for change, acknowledging that past coping strategies may no longer be enough, and accepting that some obstacles have become too overwhelming to face alone.
Psychotherapy is about giving yourself the opportunity to pause, reflect, and gain a deeper understanding of your emotions, relationships, and personal experiences. It provides a supportive space where you can explore new perspectives and regain clarity, all while benefitting from guidance and support throughout the process.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ?
Psychotherapy begins with an initial face-to-face meeting, a time for open discussion and discovery. Each session (50 minutes) is different - an exploration that progresses at your own pace.
For some, a few sessions may be enough to find answers and a sense of relief. Others may benefit from a longer therapeutic journey, at a weekly rhythm or every two weeks, depending on their needs.
MY APPROACH
I am a certified Gestalt practitioner. This qualification reflects extensive training, both practical and theoretical, in Gestalt therapy, and includes in-depth personal therapeutic work. My practice is also supported by regular supervision with a Gestalt therapist, which provides the perspective and support needed to maintain a thoughtful and ethically grounded approach, tailored to each person’s needs.
As a Gestalt practitioner, I offer a safe and supportive environment where commitment, mutual respect, and confidentiality form the foundation of our work together. This is a space where you can freely explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges without judgment — a place where your individuality is welcomed and valued.
My approach focuses on developing self-awareness and exploring how behaviours and patterns influence different aspects of life. Together, we identify recurring cycles, uncover obstacles, and bring clarity to what may feel blocked or unresolved. Grounded in the present moment and in the therapeutic relationship, this process supports you in navigating difficulties and making meaningful adjustments. The aim is to help you reconnect with your inner resources and cultivate a more flexible, adaptive way of responding to life’s complexities.
Committed to continuous professional development, I regularly enhance my training and practice in accordance with the ethical guidelines and principles of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT).
